Open a connection with your Peers:
IEEE GOLD is a peer group among our membership formed to help bridge the transition from Student to career professional and to also develop IEEE activities of interest for this group.

Connect with your Peers:
To share experiences, network, by initiating a GOLD program in your IEEE Section or Chapter. Find out how you can be involved by contacting your Region GOLD Coordinator.

If you are an IEEE Student member who recently graduated with your first professional degree, and have transferred your membership from Student member grade, you may qualify for the IEEE Graduated Dues Program.

IEEE offers the Products - some include online subscription packages, Conference Proceedings, IEEE BooksPlus - save up to 30% on text books, professional books, and technical references available from top publishers outside of the IEEE.

IEEE offers the Services additional to your basic membership that includes the IEEE Information Advantage program, IEEE Financial Advantage program, the IEEE Personal E-mail Alias Service, and job listing services.

IEEE is there to assist in your professional and career development, as well as the development of your technical skills that include self-study courses, video courses, IEEE Conferences covering a wide range of technical, professional, standards, education & career-related subjects, and more.

l GOLD members are IEEE Full Member or GSM (Graduate Student Member) who have graduated with their first professional degree in the past ten years

l GOLD program was initiated by the IEEE Membership Development Committee (MDC) in 1996.

Ø To facilitate the transition from Student members to Higher Grade members.

Ø To enhance the retention rate of recent graduates membership, and their participation in IEEE.

Region 1 GOLD Mission

Region 1 GOLD is an initiative created to address the needs and concerns of Engineers from 0 to 10 years out of College. We promote professionalism, team work, communication skills, and many of the skills needed to maintain a life-long career in Engineering.

We have been in building stages for the past year, this year, and continue to recruit. In addition, we are involving new GOLD members across the Region.  If you are interested in bringing an event, speaker to your area, or would like to be involved in planning one of the upcoming events please contact Soon Wan your Region 1 GOLD Coordinator.
