Mitul Shah, Senior Director of Technology Partnerships, UN Foundation
Mitul Shah is Senior Director of Technology
Partnerships at the United Nations Foundation. He
directs the partnership between the Vodafone Group
Foundation and the UN Foundation. The partnership
leverages Vodafone's core strengths, its mobile
technology, global infrastructure, and capacity for
mass consumer outreach with the UN's scale, mission,
and human capital. Its goal is to support activities
and manage initiatives that use technology tools to
help the UN address the world's toughest challenges
more effectively and efficiently.
Prior to joining UNF, Mitul was the Director of
Programs at the International Youth Foundation (IYF) in
Baltimore, MD. Prior to working at IYF, Mitul was a
senior consultant at Inforte Corporation, an
information technology and strategy consulting company.
Mitul holds a MBA at the University of Maryland at
College Park and a Bachelor of Science Degree in
Business Administration from the University of
California at Riverside.
Sally Susnowitz, Director of Public Service Center, MIT
Sally Susnowitz is Director of the MIT Public Service Center and an
Assistant Dean in Student Life. She enjoys working at the
intersection of public service, experiential learning, and
innovation. With this in mind, she co-founded Service Learning at MIT
and the MIT IDEAS Competition. Before coming to MIT, she served as
Director of the Service Learning Program at the University of
Colorado at Boulder and taught scientific and technical writing
there, also working on several writing-based instructional technology
projects.
Gertjan van Stam, CEO, LinkNet Zambia
Gertjan van Stam is an entrepreneur living and working
in rural Africa. He has founded numerous humanitarian
initiatives, like the Macha Innovative Community School
and Vision Community Center and Ubuntu Rural Building
Society. He is the CEO of LinkNet Zambia, a rural based
ICT cooperative that aims to establish ICT capabilities
in rural Zambia and abroad. Among other activities
Gertjan is also trustee of Flying Mission in Zambia,
partner of Global Research Alliance, and the University
of Zambia.
Colleen O'Holleran, Chapter Relations Managers, EWB-USA

Colleen O'Holleran is the EWB-USA Chapter Relations
Manager for the Mountain and South East Regions.
Colleen has lived and worked in Mexico, Morocco, and
Spain with NGOs in the capacity of an educator and
program leader. Colleen is a member of Planner's
Network and a longtime volunteer for the Hugh O'Brian
Youth Leadership Foundation (HOBY).
Michael Andrews, MGA Chair, IEEE Humanitarian Technology Committee
Mr. Andrews is Managing Partner of Andrews and Associates, LLC, a consulting firm specializing
in linking strategic plans to Emergency Planning, Continuity of Operations, Business
Resumption Planning and Operational Readiness for business, schools and government entities.
Mr. Andrews is a Senior Member of IEEE and is currently serving IEEE members as the MGA
Chair/Representative on the IEEE Humanitarian Technology Challenge, New Faces of
Engineering Award Evaluator, Region 6 Section and Chapter Support Chair, Phoenix Section
PACE Chair and Phoenix Section Intersociety Liaison. He is also the Arizona Regional
Coordinator for the National Engineers Week Future City Competition.
Mr. Andrews has considerable experience in emergency planning and has been responsible for
developing and implementing the Continuity of Operations (COOP) program offered to over
than 40 Executive Branch agencies and the United States Senate.
Mr. Andrews is very involved in community organizations including Future City Competition,
Salvation Army and Arizona LeaderForce. He was awarded an IEEE Millennium Medal for
outstanding achievements and contributions to IEEE and was given the IEEE-USA Robert S.
Walleigh Award for Distinguished Contributions to Engineering Professionalism Award.
Andrew Waddoups, EWB-USA
Andrew Waddoups, P.E., is a Senior Project Manager for Burns and
McDonnell in Centennial, Colorado. His background
includes a degree in Bio-Resource Engineering from
Rutgers University. Mr. Waddoups primarily focuses on
water and wastewater treatment plant design and
construction however he has diverse project experience.
Mr. Waddoups also volunteers as an EWB technical
advisory committee member.
