How to start a new GOLD affinity group ?

Submit a petition signed by 6 IEEE members (excluding student members) from your section, who is willing to join the GOLD affinity group if it is established
Start with a committee that (as a minimum) includes:

  1. Chairperson
  2. Vice-chairperson
  3. Treasurer
  4. Secretary

To assist with the GOLD group’s operations in future, you can apply for seed funding of USD$200 after the GOLD group is formed. Go to this page for more information:

Required Report After Forming an Affinity Group

  1. Meeting activity - at least 2 meetings yearly.
  2. Current officers – report your new officers through internet
  3. Financial activity - Submit bank account balance details and financial reporting to section treasurer before the financial year end
