The RAB GOLD is launching a pilot program on the Student Transition Project this year. The main goal is to outreach the graduating students, introduce them the GOLD and the benefits of becoming a full member. First part of the project is to send out welcome letters to graduating students. The second part is to organize a Graduation Party for these students. R10 GOLD has selected three GOLD affinity groups (Bangladesh, Lahore and Madras) to organize the graduation event as a pilot section. There groups are working with the Section Chair and Student Activities Chair, in each section to organize the Graduation Party.

The Academic Portal will be a great asset to IEEE young members by allowing them to search jobs posted by academic institutions and also find out information on PhD and other programs and scholarships. In our region, 26 GOLD members who are nominated by their section are working with the GOLD Academic Professional Portal (GAPP) team.
