Part B : Organizational Activity

 

B-1 Membership Development Program

The proposed "Member get a Member" program has not been successful for this year.

 

B-2 Professional and Continuing Education Activity

Some short course are sponsored and organized in the section. These short courses are

opened for public. Response from members was not encouraging.

 

B-3 Recognize Education Program

None is organized in the section, as well as last year.

 

B-4 Student Activity

None is organized in the section.

 

B-5 Awards

None is organized in the section.

 

B-6 Conference Activities

Although the political and social crisis is still continued, section could supported two seminars with cooperation through universities.

 

B-7 Chapter Activities

For this year, the Communication Chapter and Indonesia Section collaborated to establish some activities in universities as follows;

 

Part C Goals and Plans

 

C-1 Goals

In 2006, the section has targeting on establishing three major international conferences and establishing circuit and system chapter in Indonesia.

C-2 Detail Implementation Plans

Other Technical Meeting that has been proposed are: Some Workshop that involved COMSOC Chapter and invite the distinguished lecturer from the IEEE societies.

D-1 Relationship with National Societies

Since the establishment of IEEE Indonesia Section in 1987, closed link with local or

national societies had been established such as follows :

1. The Indonesian Institution Engineer (PII Elektro)

2. Indonesian Telecommunication Society (MASTEL)

 

 

D-2 Special Events

None is organized in the Section.

 

 

 

 

 

D-3 Problems to be anticipated

1. Low participation of members to the local activities and even to be an officer.

2. The communication for members is still also poor.

 

Proposed Solutions:

1.      Make the intention for Electronic Communication Committee and establishing the information through web site.

2.      Official Meeting during the technical meeting.

3.      Road Show activity to introduce IEEE will be conducted in the middle of 2006.
