Section Report - 2006

INTRODUCTION

IEEE Sri Lanka section was officially formed at the end of year 2004. As a fresh technical organization it is necessary to obtain a good recognition among the technical community from both industry and academic institutes in Sri Lanka. During the previous year, the activities organized by IEEE Sri Lanka section were successful to attract more people and to establish links with different institutes. We think that the activities to be done during 2006, which are summarized in this report, will enhance these links as well as will help to increase the number of IEEE members within Sri Lanka.
