PART  D   -  OTHERS

D.1  Relationship with National Societies

There are many national academic societies in Korea such as;

The IEEE Korea Council

The Korea Institute of Electrical Engineers (KIEE)

The Institute of Electronics Engineers of Korea (IEEK)

The Korea Information Science Society (KISS)

The Korea Institute of Communication Science (KICS)

The Acoustical Society of Korea (ASK)

Since most of our members are affiliated with these societies, the Taegu Section enjoys a close relationship with these societies through the joint technical programs. Especially, the IEEK has a close tie with the IEEE activities

D.2  Special Events

The IEEE Taegu Section will build up a Student member recruit campaign

D.3  Concern areas and suggestions

Recently, many universities have subscribed the IEEE Xplore. So the reason to join the IEEE is diminished for faculties and students in those universities because they can easily access IEEE papers through the internet. To increase the number of members, there should be more benefit to the members affiliated with institutes subscribed the IEEE Xplore.
