Report from the Virginia Mountain Section
 
	• 	The Virginia Mountain Section concluded its Spring activities 
	    with its 2nd Annual Picnic at McKethan Park, Lexington in May.
	• 	No meetings were held during the summer months.
	• 	In light of the election year, our section began its fall 
	    activities with a presentation by Congressman Bob Goodlatte - 
	    a joint meeting with the Blue Ridge Section of the American
	    Chemical Society.
	• 	Later this year, the Virginia Mountain Section will feature 
	    presentations on the Mid-Atlantic Terascale Partnership 
	    (including the VORTEX project and the National LambdaRail), 
	    as well as Alternative Energy.
	• 	The 2004 Officers for the Virginia Mountain Section include:
	◦ 	    Chair - Shawn Addington
	◦ 	    Vice Chair - Cy Harbourt
	◦ 	    Secretary/Treasurer - Jim Squire
