IEEE Mississippi Section Report - February 2007 The Mississippi Section held nine section meetings in 2006. The January meeting was dinner and a plant tour of Kuhlman Transformer in crystal Springs Mississippi. The E-Week luncheon held in February in Vicksburg, Mississippi and involved other societies. The subject was the New Orleans Levees. The March meeting was dinner section meeting and a plant tour of Calvert Buss and Duct in Jackson. In April we were honored to have Russell T. Harrison speak to us about IEEE-USA and the Congress. In May we had a dinner section meeting and a plant tour of Siemens Power and Transmission in Jackson Mississippi. In September Dr. Marshall Molen from MSU gave a presentation on the Challenge X hybrid vehicle challenge program. Our October meeting was a dinner section meeting and a tour of the Freescale Semiconductor facility in Ridgeland Mississippi. The November meeting was a presentation by Ron Ogan on Radio Frequency Identification. We finished 2006 with an Engineering Ethics training session that was open to other societies.
