Objectives
To
provide coordination and advisory support to the Area/Councils
and Sections to facilitate and encourage programs
and activities at the local, state and Region level
in order to promote an understanding of the influence
of technology on the public welfare, a positive image
of the engineer and the electro-technology profession
to the general public. The PI committee reports to
the Region 3 Communications Committee Chair.
Responsibilities
Assist
Region entities in developing programs that support
Institute and Region 3 objectives.
Develop
specific program inputs to Section, Area/Council and
Region in order to promote Committee objectives.
Submit
pertinent and timely committee information to the
Region 3 Newsletter Editor.
Membership
The
Committee Chair is appointed by the Region Delegate/Director
with concurrence of the Region 3 Executive Committee.
The Chair's appointment is a one year term with an
additional one year term at the discretion of the
Region 3 Delegate/Director with concurrence of the
Communications Committee Chair.
Region
3 Area/Council Public Information representatives
shall be corresponding members of the Region 3 Public
Information Ad Hoc Committee.
Meetings
Meetings
are authorized by the Region 3 Communications Chair
with concurrence of the Delegate/Director.
