 I sort of hoped Sully and Debbie might join us tonight.  Bill & DaveG 
  shared info on how to join us.
 It's getting chilly tonight in ATL.  Temp at 45, dropping into 30s 
  tonite.
 Well, men, let's go ahead....
 We've had several comments, suggestions, and revisions to the Strat 
  Plan....
 I think we're getting there.  I do appreciate all the inputs and 
  suggestions....

 I was just saying we had received several inputs & comments re the Strat 
  plan, but...
 we've still had no revised comments re finances or conferences.  Some of 
  our old plan may still apply, of course....
 But we're getting there.
 Reed and I will be in FL next week...

 Good show:  six tonight already.
 Conner is tied up completely with his Treas duties...
 I don't think we'll get inputs from him.
 Roy Harris has had family challenges, so he's also had no inputs.
 But 'most everyone else on SPC (plus Charles & Butch Shadwell) have 
  contributed good ideas.
 I hope by 11/15 to have a good strawman Strat Plan sent to everyone to 
  start shooting at before we go to Nashville.
 I appreciate all the inputs from everyone.
 I think that fairly well covers our status of the Strat Plan as of 
  today.  Anyone have any comments or Q's?

 I am waiting for the SPC to pull...

 in put but rather wait until the SPC...
 tells me that they are satisfied with ...
 what they have.

 One point that I may have missed in ...
 looking over what has been propose is ...
 that I fully intend to make e-conf a way of life...
 during my term of office.  I do not see that...
 clearly stated in what I have seen.
 Dick, that's included in my latest draft, but I'll make sure it's 
  emphasized.

 On a tangential area, the SPC is charged ...
 with tracking the various ExCom committees' progress in attaining their 
  goals.  That...
 is being included again in the new Plan, but...
 we really have had very minimal response in getting a status report from 
  ANY of our committees this fall.

 Of course, we can report to the Director what has been done, but reports 
  are few.  GA, Reed.
 Perhaps we should have the SPC Mentors get the reports from their 
  committees.
 Certainly, we can try.

 The BIG THRUST in the Plan must be our expanded focus on the use of the 
  Web and e-Conferencing.

 As VC-conf, I have some ideas but have not approached him...

 All the ExCom has been asked for their reports.  Jim told me my request 
  was "in his "to do" pile.

  approach the chair, otherwise the chair never knows

 Speaking for my little part of the econf initiative...
 we would be thrilled to have comm comm or anyone helping get this 
  done.
 The Spec Proj team has carried the ball re e-conf; the Comm Cmte has 
  been on the sidelines.
