MILEAGE REIMBURSEMENT INCREASED - Effective 1 Jan 2004, the reimbursement rate for volunteers who use personal vehicles for IEEE business travel will be raised from to 37.5 cents per mile, to match IRS allowances.

NEW VOLUNTEER RESOURCES WEB SITE contains links to a variety of IEEE web pages that are useful to IEEE volunteers. The site, which has a direct link from the IEEE Home Page, contains information that is important to all types of volunteers, including those writing articles/creating content and publishing, or those involved in Societies, Sections, Chapters, Students, Conferences, Standards, Professional Development, and Entity Activities.

TREASURER'S HANDBOOK contains important financial information for Geographic Units, covering subjects such as required reports, funding, insurance, banking, record retention and more. It can be found on the web at www.ieee.org/ra/scs. Select the link for either "Officer Training"."

INDUSTRY PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM (IPP) strengthens relationships between the IEEE and companies with large IEEE member populations.
