Author Information

* Please note that paper submission and author registration is now closed.

The following author's guide is provided to ensure that your complete paper meets the required standards for presentation AND publication at the Conference.

Paper Publication
Papers accepted for publication at the Canadian Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering 2006, will be published in the Conference proceedings (ISBN: 1-4244-0038-4) and will be available worldwide from the IEEE through IEEE Xplore.

Abstract Paper Submission
Submit a 300 word abstract as either a PDF or Word document by creating a UserID using the WitanWeb Submission System and creating a new submission. Make certain that you choose a track that best suites the paper. The creation of the submission requires that you enter a small textual abstract. The extended abstract needs to be submitted as a document by selecting the Abstract submission type when you upload the document.

Paper Presentation Style
Once final papers are received, the Technical Program Committee will finalize the program and assign your paper to either an oral presentation session or a poster presentation session. This applies to all papers submitted, including those entered in the Student Paper Competition. Once these assignments have been made, please prepare the appropriate style of presentation. Guidelines for preparation of your presentation are found below. Note: Every effort will be made to assign your paper as requested in your submission application. However, the Program Committee may have to make alternate assignments to best suit the available schedules and facilities.

Student Paper Competition
Eligible papers entered for the Student Paper Competition will be integrated in the regular Conference sessions.  Judging of the Student papers will be done separately. Other relevant details will be announced once the Technical Program is finalized.
Note: To be eligible, the first author listed on the paper must be a student. (To qualify as a student for registration purposes, the author must be registered full-time in a degree program in a University/College. IEEE membership is not a pre-requisite, but is encouraged. Also the student must present the paper.)

Full Paper Submission
Submit your full paper in the conforming PDF format (note: papers need to conform to the IEEE XPlore compatible PDF format, (see the Author's Guide for the link and instructions) by uploading it to the WitanWeb Submission System using your existing user ID and instead of choosing abstract as the type of submission choose Paper.

Maximum Length of Paper The paper should be 4 pages and not exceed 6 pages. The author will be charged an extra $50.00/page for those pages exceeding 4.
