Davood Yazdani (SM’IEEE), received his Ph.D in Electrical Engineering from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Queen’s University, Canada, in 2009.

He was a Postdoctoral fellow at the Queen’s Centre for Energy and Power Electronics Research (ePOWER) in 2009-10 where he worked on hybrid renewable energy conversion using wind and solar power. Currently, Dr. Yazdani is with Integrated Power group at Fairchild Semiconductor, San Jose, CA.

Dr. Yazdani is a licensed Professional Engineer (PEng) in Ontario. His research interests includes: LED Drivers, Wind and Solar Inverters, AC-DC and DC-AC Converters, Synchronization techniques and Harmonics Detection/Elimination.
