Welcome to the IEEE Vancouver Chapter's Aerospace and Electronic Systems, Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society. This society comprises of two societies: the IEEE Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society and the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society. The objectives of each of these two societies are detailed below: The IEEE Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society is concerned with the design, integration, test and analysis of large, complex systems consisting of major subsystems containing hardware and software. Most of our members work on sensor systems (radar, sonar, optics, and navigation), communication systems, command and control centres, avionics, space systems, military systems, digital signal processing, simulators, and air traffic control systems. The IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society seeks to advance geoscience and remote sensing science and technology through scientific, technical, and education activities. The Society strives to promote a high level of technical excellence among its members by exchange of information through conferences, meetings, workshops, publications, and through its committees to provide for the needs of its members. Throughout the year, the IEEE Vancouver Chapter of the Aerospace and Electronic Systems, Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society hosts a number of events. All of these events are free. Look for the following events in 2007:
