About the Name "Carrier Wave"
- Our IEEE Winnipeg Section's newsletter is called Carrier Wave to signify its ability to deliver information that is provided by you, the user, as well as by the chapters, committees, and other groups.
As you know, any carrier by itself does not carry any information; the information must be superimposed on the carrier.
It is also true that the information cannot be delivered to a broad audience easily without a carrier.
So, help us have a vibrant newsletter.
About the Carrier Wave Picture
- The picture clearly emphasizes a Canadian content, reflected many times over through different chapters, committees, and other "modulators" and "reflectors".
The picture was designed by the IEEE McNaughton Student Centre, University of Manitoba, in 1996.
