The IEEE Region 9 will release the IEEE Latin America Transactions to enable the publication of non-published and technically excellent papers from Latin American engineers, in Spanish or Portuguese languages. Engineers and researchers from Portugal and Spain (and others countries with the same language) are also very welcome to submit their proposals.

The Transactions will be distributed through the Internet, thus, it will not be edited as conventional printed material.

This web based scientific publication is indexed into the ISI data base.

Technical papers awarded in Latin American Conferences can be included in the Transactions. However, it is far beyond the scope of the Transactions to accept either the simple translation of already published papers or those with superfluous information.

Submitted papers will be assessed by at least three Authorized Reviewers. The technical content and editorial quality of the papers will constitute the basis to approve, reject or send them back to the respective authors for revision.

For the first two years, the Review will be edited every three months. Still, depending on the Editorial Committee’s judgement, such period may be reduced.

IEEE Members will be able to access these Internet based technical source. Note: During the experimental phase in the first year, IEEE Members and Non-Members will be able to access to this source.

Each issue of the Review should contain a maximum of 30 papers in the areas of:

  • (10) Electric Energy (Power Systems, Industrial, Power Electronics, Electric Machines, etc.).
  • (10) Electronics (Telecommunications, Control, Microwaves, Circuits and Systems, Electricity and Health, etc.)\
  • (10) Computing (Computer Science, Software, Computer Architecture, Networks, etc.).
