Abstract:
This article focuses on a real time implementation of several signal-processing techniques into a DSP board to verify their suitability for VoIP applications. The main processing techniques addressed in this contribution are: the standard G.722.1 speech coding from ITU-T; the RITW solution to reconstruct the lost speech segments in a transmission through IP network; and a recognition approach based on neural network to classify the types of speech segments. In addition, some key criteria are discussed to facilitate the hard task of choosing an appropriate DSP solution for a target application.
