Abstract:
The recent increase in the use of wireless technologies has led to the development of new kinds of networks. Wireless sensor network (WSN) is one of these networks. Due to the differences between WSNs and other wireless networks, many new routing protocols have been proposed which depend on the application and network architect. This paper introduces the WSN from a routing perspective, for this explains several types to classify routing protocols for WSNs, and shows the main parameters in the design/choice of a routing protocol for a WSN. After that, a WSN routing solution is presented for a telemetry application; this solution has been implemented and validated.
