A communication system for wireless networks mobile using irregular LDPC code and equalizer of low complexity is proposed. The transmitter uses irregular LDPC code with a low error threshold. The receiver uses the sum-product decoding algorithm and low complexity equalization with a maximum likelihood sequence estimation algorithm to achieve a big decrease of the error probability. The communication system is simulated on an AWGN channel and fast fading with Rayleigh distribution for different word sizes. A speed of 150 Km/H to the mobile is considered. The results shows with the system proposed a big gain is achieved. For example, using irregular LDPC only in the receptor, to achieve a BER of 10-6 a SNR of 16 dB is necessary while using LDPC code with equalizer, to achieve a BER of 10-6 a SNR of 7.3 dB is necessary only, achieving a gain of SNR of 8.7dB.
