Abstract:
Today there are value added services such as ADSL, or the use of technologies such as GSM, which cause the transfer of large volumes of information on their transport networks. In turn, these networks are formed by optical fiber links, which are limited by several factors such as PMD. This phenomenon of light reduces the efficiency of transmission systems and the bandwidth. It has been found that the PMD can be seriously affected during transport and installation. This paper to compare the different installation techniques based on the value of PMD associated with the use of them. The results show that the use of an appropriate method of installation as the installation of fiber optic in tritubo by blow, would mitigate the PMD value associated with the link respect other installation methods, and demonstrate the importance of reducing efforts lateral traction and torsion of the installation process in the optical fiber during installation.
