Abstract:
This paper presents the implementation and simulation of electrical protection functions in ATP / ATPDraw software through the MODELS language. The simulations are performed using blocks resident in the ATP / ATPDraw for representation of the main equipment and building blocks developed in the MODELS language for modeling of protection relays. The used model allows the simulation in closed loop, whose main advantage is the ability to assess the behavior of the electric power system against transient and operation of your protection as well as the protection front the most diverse operating conditions to which a system is subjected. All data relating to power equipment used in the simulation (generators, step-up transformers and transmission lines) are a real plant, linked to the Brazilian electrical system.
