Abstract:
This paper presents an analysis of the use of narrowband power line communications (Power Line Communication - PLC) in industrial environment. For analysis, it was used a kit for developing applications based on PLC according to G3-PLC standard. Experimental tests and results are presented for different scenarios, characterized as low noise scenarios, moderate, medium and high noise. It shows the influence of the drive inverters/motors performance using the PLC communication channel. Recommendations on the modulation techniques present in the G3-PLC standard, data packet sizes to be transmitted are displayed.
