Abstract:
In this paper, the throughput of a RGB sensor as a receiver of a visible light communication system was analyzed. In the experiment, a RS-232 module of an Arduino UNO development system was used in order to execute the technique of intensity modulation and direct detection IM/DD. The NRZ line code of the serial interface was used to modulate the electric current of the LEDs with a maximum symbol rate of 19200 Baud. As result, we could determine the frequency response of the RGB sensor whose bandwidth for the red, green and blue were 37 kHz, 47 kHz and 48 kHz respectively in a 43 cm optical link.
