Abstract:
The selection of critical process equipment is step of a reliability-centred maintenance implementation and gives important information for the maintenance services schedule. In this paper, the use of Fuzzy Logic is proposed, where uncertain and imprecise judgments of decision makers during this activity are translated into fuzzy numbers. A specific example of selection of critical process equipment in a cogeneration plant with the application of the proposed fuzzy method is given, showing that it´s easily applied, being one more tool for maintenance managers.
