The IEEE Entity Web Hosting service (EWH) provides Virtual Domain Hosting to Organizational Units (OUs) hosted on EWH.

Domain names must be purchased and registered with an Internet Domain Name Registrar (e.g, internic.net, nic.uk, nic.es, nic.fr and denic.de) by the IEEE OU. All fees and renewals incurred with the Internet Domain Registrar are the responsibility of the purchasing OU.

All domain names are subject to approval by the IEEE Information Technology Strategy Committee. In general, all IEEE organizational units will use .org domains to maintain consistency with the not-for-profit status of the IEEE, except for geographic units with a unique ISO country code. Additionally, if appropriate, domain names shall include the letters "ieee" to denote their relationship with IEEE.

Sub-domains of the ieee.org domain may be approved if the name (a) is not in current use or reserved for future use, and (b) clearly describes an IEEE Organizational Unit e.g. foundation.ieee.org.

Country domains may be approved for IEEE sections or sub-sections as long as the domain name clearly describes the section and does not conflict with other sections or sub-sections in that country (e.g., ieee.se for the Sweden Section).

*** Virtual Domain Hosting is not for everyone. Please consider using the URL Redirection service.
