Maharashtra Academy Of EngineeringMAE IEEE Branch ( reactivated on July 2008 ) provides a local forum for its members to meet and exchange views on technical, educational, professional or other areas of interest. The Section encourages communication and activities with Student Branches while encouraging the students' involvement in professional activities. On a broader level, the IEEE offers a medium for members to establish communication with representatives of government, national and international organizations. The chapter has come up with a strong membership of 900+ students membership which is amongst the highest in the Region. The Branch council members are committed to make this chapter as one of the strong platform for IEEE students platform for exchange of information. The faculty has also given a full support to help this branch come up with great engineers.

IEEE, the world’s largest technical professional association, announced that it has named the HP-35 scientific calculator as an IEEE Milestone. Introduced in 1972, the HP-35 was the world’s first handheld-sized scientific calculator which ultimately made the slide rule, which had previously been used by generations of engineers and scientists, obsolete. |
