Events During Academics  According to year...

Year 2009-10 :

Year 2008-09 :

  • Online call for the nominations of the various posts in Executive Council was made, it was first time that any branch has done in India. The Executive Council has been finalized in August. Women’s Council was also finalized.
  • Executive Council and student members have offered the training program on computer literacy to the class 8th students of Dnyaneshwar Vidyalaya, Alandi(D) as a social commitment. We received good response from the students and same was also appreciated by the school authorities.
  • Against, our report send to IEEE-New Jersy in Nov 2009, Branch received rebate (120 USD).

  • A hands on training programme as “2 days work shop for PCB Design using PADS” was conducted successfully on 22nd and 23rd January 2010. We have received overwhelming response and we stopped the registration for 50 participants.

  • TECHNOBOT is a national level Pr-Exhibition (Project Exhibition) to be held alongside Robocon which in itself is a national level Robotics competition. This is taking place on the 6th of March, 2010. We are here with 90 teams i.e. 300 students are participating in this event, as for, To encourage dynamic minds and provide them a platform to innovate. To bridge the gap between the industrial experts and the dynamic young students. To evaluate valuable contribution by young engineers in the field of control & automation, simulation & modelling and embedded system, the eminent people approx. 40 from corporate and 20 from academics will be visiting TECHNOBOT 2010. So to sum it up TECHNOBOT is the catalyst which shall render the industry and the student community a common platform to exchange their knowledge and an opportunity to interact so as to nurture innovation. With the enthusiasm building amongst the innovative young minds this event will surely be well received as an attempt to bring fresh ideas to the foreground.

  • MAE IEEE Student Branch supported the following events held during the academic year 2009-10 : I. “WIZARD-10”. WIZARD-10 is a two days National Level Technical Event on 19th and 20th of February 2010. This mega fest shall provide a platform for budding expertise to exhibit their multidimensional talents. The different events organized under this banner are:
    1. Paper presentation.
    2. Project Presentation
    3. C Programming
    4. Assembly Level Programming
    5. Digital Design
    6. B-Plan
    7. Quiz

  • TECHNODIUM 2010, is an inter collegiate event covering about 50 colleges under University Of Pune. It’s a two day venture (18th & 19th march,2010) where different events were organized : PAPER PRESENTATION, PROJECT COMPETITION , C/C++ CODING , QUIZ , FIFA , COUNTER STRIKE,SUDOKU & B’PLAN.

  • Xceed ’10 organised by IT Dept, MAE Alandi. Xceed ’10 is an intra collegiate event.

  • “Spectrum ‘10” organised by E&TC Dept. MAE Alandi. Spectrum ’10 is also an intra collegiate event held during 1st and 2nd April 2010.

  • MAE-IEEE Student Branch is instrumental in receiving the sponsorship for various technical events from IEEE Bombay Section from last 3-years.

  • Robotics by Gemini Education
  • On 15th February 2008, a visit to an Orphanage Centre was done by the MAE-IEEE Women’s Council. The objective was to help Children in their endeavors. This visit was to made to celebrated the MAE-IEEE day.

  • Dr. Basavraj, CEO, BCS Innovations, Bangalore, (India) conducted a seminar on “Ergonomics and Embedded Systems” on 28th February 2008.

  • Dr. Natrajan, Bharat Electronics Ltd. (BEL), conducted a seminar on “Ergonomics and Embedded Systems” on 10th February 08.

  • IEEE- MAE Student Branch has coordinated a Robotics Workshop in collaboration with TRI (The Robotics Institute), Mumbai March’ 08. The main motto of workshop was to give hands-on training to students on the basic robots such as line-follower, obstacle avoider and PC controlled Robots. Total 17 groups of 3 Member each participated in the aforementioned workshop ( 51 students)..

  • IEEE Bombay has organized a Job fair for final year students of Electronics Computer and Electronics and Telecommunication. About 30 Students has taken the advantage of this.

  • A Youth Empowerment Seminar, YES+, a meditation programme conducted in the campus after college hours for the students from 26 August 08 - 03 September 08. Fifty (50 students) Students participated in the workshop. - View Report

  • A Robotics Workshop on Advanced Robotics and Industrial Automation was conducted by NEXT-Sapiens group, Delhi to familiarize students with the automation concepts being used in the assembly of line production facilities and use of GSM in ex-situ control of robot and other systems. Twelve Groups of 3 Members each and two groups of single member each participated in the workshop. ( 38 students total)

  • Mr. Ashish Srivastav, Chairman, MAE-IEEE Student Branch, conducted seminars for Second Year Students of Computer, E&TC, IT and Electronics to create awareness about the IEEE- membership benefits and introduced with various aspects.

  • Mr. Swapnil Katre, Vice - Chairman, MAE-IEEE Student Branch, delivered a talk on MSP 430, a micro-controller by Texas Instruments and its features as part of the activities of Embedded Systems Society.

  • Mr. Vishal Tilawala, Member MAE-IEEE and Chairman of Embedded Systems Society, coordinated for the society and delivered talk to students of Second Year and Third Year to promote the field of Embedded Systems.

  • Dr. Manish Patil, Head of the Department, Department of VLSI , I2IT, Conducted a seminar on Current Trends in VLSI Product Design and its future scope on 11 January 2009.

  • WIZARD ’09 A National Level Technical Event organized in association with Electronics Department, MAE Alandi. Event comprised of Technical Paper Presentation and Technical Quiz. Thirty student (30) participated in Quiz and 28 Groups participated in Paper Presentation.

  • TECHNO- DREAM ’09 A University Level Technical Event organized with the motto to bring the best paper and project of the Pune University on a single platform and to select the best among the best. A Journal is also being published comprising of the winner papers and project. A total of 40 groups of 3 members each participated in Paper Presentation and 30 Groups of 4 Members each participated in Project Competition. ( Total 240 Students)

  • Mr. Hitesh Lodha, Ms. Pranita Shah and Mr. Swapnil Katre of B.E. Electronics, attended workshop on MSP430 on sponsorship from MAE-IEEE. This workshop was conducted by Mr. J. S. Gill Corporation, Bangalore, organized by Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering, Tathawade, Pune.
