Chair
David Gonzalez (chair@ieeeuottawa.ca)
Program of Study: Computer Engineering

Vice Chair
Nick Crawford (vice-chair@ieeeuottawa.ca)
Program of Study: 3rd year Computer Engineering
Why I joined IEEE:
The IEEE offers a way for students to collaborate at the University of Ottawa, particularly those with interests in the electrical, software, computer, and computer science fields. By helping fuel ideas and events, the IEEE is working to give a stronger sense of community and professionalism here at uOttawa.

McNaughton Center Director
Alex Ayala (mcnaughton@ieeeuottawa.ca)
Program of Study: 4th year Computer Engineering
Why I joined IEEE:
I'm the Director of McNaughton Centre (fancy way of saying Office Admin),I was raised by penguins following a ferry accident. I'm currently in 4th year CEG with a full scholarship through an administrative error(don't tell anyone). I once rode an elevator, secret elevator to the top of the CBY building. I enjoy bashing the heads of alli and all I want for christmas is something blue. I really hate the Barrens chat.

VP Social
Daniel Godfrey (social@ieeeuottawa.ca)
Program of Study: 3rd year Software Engineering
Why I joined IEEE:
"You had me at Hello World"

VP Internal
Devon Ferrier (internal@ieeeuottawa.ca)
Program of Study: 3rd year Electical Engineering
Why I joined IEEE:
I am in 3rd year of Electrical Engineering. I am working towards getting a BA with a bit of luck and praying...oh and a bit of work. I enjoy long bouts of wiring on a breadboard under the soft glow of fluorescent light. I also like strippers because wiring would just be hard without them. I joined the IEEE because it rocks and has a lot of opportunity so think about it.

VP External

VP Treasurer
Kevin Vacheresse (treasurer@ieeeuottawa.ca)
Why I joined IEEE:
While not hoarding away the dragon treasures of the IEEE as Treasurer, Kevin enjoys totally flipping out and rocking hard on his guitar. Flying may or may not be involved. Life as a 3rd year Software Engineering student proves ever awesome for the diligent and strong of mind. As our lethal coding army amasses, Kevin hopes to one day lead the hordes to victory over the non-engineering community and gain his rightful title of 'More awesome than before.' When not creeping behind you, hiding in trees, plotting mass doom, playing with kittens, or jumping out of dumpsters in order to take a group of twenty-nine trained ninjas by surprise, he can be seen(allegedly) encouraging students to volunteer with the IEEE, partaking in the extravaganza known as CUSEC, as well as mentoring the first year mech minions of James Gosling, propagator and creator of delicious coffee and tasty code.

VP Academic
Rami Hammad (academic@ieeeuottawa.ca)
Program of Study: 3rd year Software Engineering
Why I joined IEEE:
I feel like the IEEE is a great representation of the individuals in our field and with a world renown Engineering Society, I felt I was compelled to give back to our interest and area of study. After all, ERTW (Engineers Rule The World), but first let's start with our very own branch at school.

Webmaster
Jake Swart (webmaster@ieeeuottawa.ca)
Program of Study: 4th year Computer Engineering, Co-Op
Why I joined IEEE:
I joined the IEEE to enhance and improve students' experience on campus. The IEEE offers students, not only knowledge, but the opportunity to network with professionals in their own field. By encouraging participation through action at the University of Ottawa, a stronger understanding of our roles as IT leaders and innovators is achieved.
