Dear members of IEEE-CPMT Hong Kong,

I am glad to report the activities of IEEE CPMT Hong Kong being held in year 2005 which include:

1.    For workshops were held in year 2005:

1. “Impacts of EU RoHS & China RoHS on Design, Materials, Process, Manufacturing, and Reliability of Electronics Products”
   by Dr. John Lau on 6^th May, 2005 at 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. in room 2404, HKUST
   　

2. “Polymers for Electronic and Photonic Packaging: - Materials, Process and Reliability”
   by Prof. C. P. Wong on 21^th June, 2005 at 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. in; room 4333, HKUST
   　

3. “Virtual Thermo-Mechanical Prototyping and Qualification of Microelectronics and Microsystems”
   by Dr. C.Q. Zhang on 25^th August, 2005 at 2:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. in room 1403, HKUST
   　

4. “Packaging and Board Assembly: Technology Trend, Materials, Processes and reliability”
   by Dr. Dongkai Shangguan on 15^th December, 2005 at 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.in room 4333, HKUST

2.   Five IEEE members were nominated by CPMT chapter to elevate to the senior members in this year.

According to our new By-laws, there was no election needed in the AGM of this year.  
The members of Executive committee for IEEE-CPMT Hong Kong for year 2005 are:

-  Dr. Ming Li  - Chapter Chairman, 

-  Dr. Derek Or - Chapter Vice-Chair and Chair-Elect

-  Mr. Edwin Cheung - Chapter Secretary

-  Dr. Fu Ran - Chapter Treasurer

We are planning to have four to Five workshops in year 2005. Your input and participation are much appreciated.
