The Institute of Electrical Engineering and Electronics Engineers, Inc.
Purpose:
To provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of the latest
developments in the filed of electric contacts which are used in circuit
breakers, contactors, switches, relays and connectors. Technical
presentations include arc physics, switching devices, contact material,
testing, reliability and new technology with international representation
from industrial and residential power distribution, automotive, appliance, telecommunication
and universities.
For Whom:
Practicing designers, engineers, physicists and research scientists - those
new to the field and those experienced to learn and solve contact usage
problems.
The 2002 Holm Conference included 36 excellent papers authored by some of the
outstanding technical people in this field. The international contributors
come from USA, China, Japan, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Austria,
France, Russia, Ukraine, Norway, Singapore, and Switzerland. These papers, as
a group, will provide the attendees with up-to-date information on a wide
range of subjects that makes this conference so attractive to the practicing
engineer. The 2003 Holm Conference is expected to be as well represented.
Presentation of the work will make it possible for any attendee to discuss
personally with any author either additional details concerning the work
presented by the author at the conference or any subject related to the
author's field of expertise.
