lEEE EMC Society Hall of Fame Award - Milton Kant
MiltonKant

Worked for four employers; 1) Civil Aeronautics Administration (CAA now FAA, for 2.5 years),  2) US Air Force, Rome Air Development Center (4 Years),  3) Sperry Gyroscope/Sperry Rand Corporation (16 years), and 4) Radio Corporation of America/General Electric Company (RCA/GE for 22 years). His first and second jobs did not include any significant RFI/EMC effort.

His third job involved EMC/RFI work on airborne, shipboard, submarine, ground and commercial equipment and systems.

His fourth job at RCA/GE was devoted entirely to the AEGIS Program. It started with EMI/EMC work on the equipment of the Aegis Weapon System. It culminated with responsibility for the RCA/GE participation in ship integration/topside design (as a member of the Topside Design Integration Team – TDIET) for the AEGIS cruiser and destroyer.

After instigating and founding the Professional Group on RFI (PGRFI) in 1957, my activity continued as a member of the first Administrative Committee, Secretary of the Administrative Committee, Chairman of the Information Retrieval Committee (which led to the publication of EMCABS, first as a stand-alone publication and then as part of the Newsletter), Chairman of the 1965 Symposium Committee, Member of the 1971 Symposium Committee, Chairman of the New York Chapter, and Chairman of the Philadelphia Chapter.
