EMS
Membership Coordinator

The
EMS Membership Coordinator responsibilities include working with the EMS
VP-Member Relations and others on the membership team to encourage and
promote EMS membership and chapter formations. [By default this position is
part of the VP-Member Relations Position, but does not need to be if we have
volunteers wanting to work in this area.]

Chapter Coordinator

The
EMS Chapter Coordinator responsibilities include contacting the EMS Chapter
Chairs, getting their rosters, approving L-31 meeting reports for the
Chapter rebate program, and working with the EMS VP-Member Relations and
others on the membership team to encourage and promote EMS membership and
chapter formations. Most of this is done by email. Very little is direct
contact.
EMS
SamIEEE Coordinator

The
EMS SamIEEE Coordinator responsibilities include receiving regular updates
to the SamIEEE databases, and preparing subsets of these databases as needed
for EMS membership and Chapter development, as well as Conference
requirements, and working with the EMS VP-Member Relations and others on the
membership team to encourage and promote EMS membership and chapter
formations.
EMS
Student Activities Coordinator

There are nearly 600 EMS Student members. The EMS Student Coordinator
responsibilities include contacting these EMS student members and getting
their opinions on our programs and as to possible topics for EMS Chapter
meetings, and working with the EMS VP-Member Relations and others on the
membership team to encourage and promote EMS membership and chapter
formations. Most of this is by email.
EMS GOLD
Coordinator

We
do not currently know how many GOLD members there are in EMS. IEEE staff has
offered to include that field in the next Regional list. The GOLD
Coordinator responsibilities include contacting the Regional GOLD
Coordinators and getting their opinions on our Programs, and possible topics
for EMS Chapter meetings, providing opportunities for mentoring of GOLD
members, incorporating EMS themes in GOLD events, and working with the EMS
VP-Member Relations and others on the membership team to encourage and
promote EMS membership and chapter formations. Most of this is by email.
Very little is direct contact.
EMS
Professional Activities Coordinator

62%
[4386] higher grade (Associate, Member, Senior Member and Fellow) EMS
members are 'members' of IEEE-USA. The IEEE-USA PACE Committee makes funds
available for professional development programs in Regions 1 through 6 that
EMS Chapters can request funding for. EMS has been supportive in the past of
the IEEE-USA Professional Development Conference (ProDevCon) providing
program tracks in the past at ProDevCon. The M-PAC (Member Professional
Awareness Conference) is a PACE program that is possible to offer at
US-based IEMC Conferences. PACE Programs can also be used as a blueprint for
non-US activities. The EMS PACE Coordinator responsibilities include keeping
aware of IEEE-USA PACE programs for possible topics at EMS Chapter meetings,
helping our US Chapters apply for PACE funding, and working with the EMS
VP-Member Relations and others on the membership team to encourage and
promote EMS membership and chapter formations. Most of this is by email.
EMS Booth Coordinator

The EMS Booth Coordinator responsibilities include working with the EMS
VP-Member Relations and others on the membership team to arrange for the EMS
booth and EMS promotional material to be displayed in at least 2-3
locationsduring the year. The Coordinator will select the locations for
boothdisplay, will make arrangements with the conference organizers for
space forthe booth, and will arrange transportation and publication material
to the show locations. The promotional material includes the EMS Brochure,
old EMS publications, advertising material for upcoming EMS conferences, and
any other relevant material. The Booth Coordinator also works with other
Societies in the Division to allow them to use the booth as well. They will
provide their material for display at the EMS shows and they will also
display EMS material in their locations. The coordinator will manage all
scheduling, shipping, and materials. |
