Roles and Responsibilities

EMS Membership Coordinator [Joe Palmiter ]
The EMS Membership Coordinator responsibilities include working with the EMS VP-Member Relations and others on the membership team to encourage and promote EMS membership and chapter formations. [By default this position is part of the VP-Member Relations Position, but does not need to be if we have volunteers wanting to work in this area.]

EMS Chapter Coordinator [Igor Marchesini]
The EMS Chapter Coordinator responsibilities include contacting the EMS Chapter Chairs, getting their rosters, approving L-31 meeting reports for the Chapter rebate program, and working with the EMS VP-Member Relations and others on the membership team to encourage and promote EMS membership and chapter formations. Most of this is done by email. Very little is direct contact.

EMS SamIEEE Coordinator [Celia Desmond]
The EMS SamIEEE Coordinator responsibilities include receiving regular updates to the SamIEEE databases, and preparing subsets of these databases as needed for EMS membership and Chapter development, as well as Conference requirements, and working with the EMS VP-Member Relations and others on the membership team to encourage and promote EMS membership and chapter formations.

EMS Student Activities Coordinator [Marissa Bazanez-Bogert]
There are nearly 600 EMS Student members. The EMS Student Coordinator responsibilities include contacting these EMS student members and getting their opinions on our programs and as to possible topics for EMS Chapter meetings, and working with the EMS VP-Member Relations and others on the membership team to encourage and promote EMS membership and chapter formations. Most of this is by email.

EMS GOLD Coordinator [Marissa Bazanez-Bogert]
We do not currently know how many GOLD members there are in EMS. IEEE staff has offered to include that field in the next Regional list. The GOLD Coordinator responsibilities include contacting the Regional GOLD Coordinators and getting their opinions on our Programs, and possible topics for EMS Chapter meetings, providing opportunities for mentoring of GOLD members, incorporating EMS themes in GOLD events, and working with the EMS VP-Member Relations and others on the membership team to encourage and promote EMS membership and chapter formations. Most of this is by email. Very little is direct contact.

EMS Professional Activities Coordinator [Lee Stronger]
62% [4386] higher grade (Associate, Member, Senior Member and Fellow) EMS members are 'members' of IEEE-USA. The IEEE-USA PACE Committee makes funds available for professional development programs in Regions 1 through 6 that EMS Chapters can request funding for. EMS has been supportive in the past of the IEEE-USA Professional Development Conference (ProDevCon) providing program tracks in the past at ProDevCon. The M-PAC (Member Professional Awareness Conference) is a PACE program that is possible to offer at US-based IEMC Conferences. PACE Programs can also be used as a blueprint for non-US activities. The EMS PACE Coordinator responsibilities include keeping aware of IEEE-USA PACE programs for possible topics at EMS Chapter meetings, helping our US Chapters apply for PACE funding, and working with the EMS VP-Member Relations and others on the membership team to encourage and promote EMS membership and chapter formations. Most of this is by email.

EMS Booth Coordinator [Margaretha Eriksson]
The EMS Booth Coordinator responsibilities include working with the EMS VP-Member Relations and others on the membership team to arrange for the EMS booth and EMS promotional material to be displayed in at least 2-3 locationsduring the year. The Coordinator will select the locations for boothdisplay, will make arrangements with the conference organizers for space forthe booth, and will arrange transportation and publication material to the show locations. The promotional material includes the EMS Brochure, old EMS publications, advertising material for upcoming EMS conferences, and any other relevant material. The Booth Coordinator also works with other Societies in the Division to allow them to use the booth as well. They will provide their material for display at the EMS shows and they will also display EMS material in their locations. The coordinator will manage all scheduling, shipping, and materials.
