For example, it facilitates point-and-click access to over 20 professional sites including the Korean Statistical Society, Institute for Operations Research and Manage- ment Sciences, National Institute of Statistical Sciences, and Society for Risk Analysis. Other links provide ready access to FedStats, Statlib, and Statistical Computing (UCLA), as well as to home pages for many granting agencies such as the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Census Bureau, and National Science Foundation.

Publicized as a one-stop federal statistics site, this multiagency-supported portal features easy access to comprehensive statistical information available for public use from over 70 U.S. Government agencies. Updates are maintained by each participating agency on their own servers. Software tools are provided when necessary to expedite access to specialized data sets. Each page referenced by this site fosters accessibility, by disabled users. For example, it provides text equivalents for all images and multimedia, color and black and white alternatives, and text summaries of graphs and charts. Federal agencies, whose mission is solely statistical in nature (e.g., Bureau of Labor Statistics and Energy Information Administration) are included, as well as numerous other agencies reporting expenditures of at least $500,000 per year in statistical activities (e.g., Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Natural Resource Conservation Services, and Small Business Administration).
