Conclusion

We combined pen-based computers and the software package LæProf to increase the productivity and creativity of professors and students in the traditional classroom environment. To that effect, we can provide students with the note taking software described above to help them toward more rapid, more focused, and more interactive note taking. Furthermore, this system allows professors the possibility of discussing with their students more often, since students receive their electronic transparencies automatically and they have to write only complementary information.
