BIOGRAPHY FOR KIM FOWLER



Kim has spent 20 years in the design and development of medical, military, and satellite equipment.

He is an IEEE Distinguished Lecturer in Instrumentation and Measurement and lectures on the international circuit.

He wrote the textbook, "Electronic Instrument Design: Architecting for the Life Cycle," published by Oxford University Press in 1996.

Kim is Editor-In-Chief of the IEEE Instrumentation & Measurement magazine and writes the "Tried and True" column.

Kim sits on the advisory board for Measure Mentor, an online measurement and instrumentation publication by Wiley, and contributes material to the publication.

He co-founded Stimsoft, a medical products company.

He has published widely in engineering journals, placed second in the 1993 Design News national contest, and has two patents, one pending, two filed, and 10 invention disclosures.

He is currently a program manager for the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory.
