Objective :  FUZZ-IEEE 2005 brings together scientists, engineers  and  practitioners working in fuzzy logic and related areas  to present their research work. The conference provides a platform for the exchange of ideas and technical interaction. There will be a written proceedings of the meeting.

Submission : Papers not exceeding 6 A-4 size pages with the  affiliation of each author including email address should be submitted electronically by  December 20, 2004.  Manuscripts should be prepared in the standard 2-column IEEE format.  For details of manuscript preparation and submission please see the conference web site.

 

Topics: Fuzzy set theory and its applications including, but not limited to:  approximate reasoning, pattern recognition, image processing, vision, data mining, fuzzy mathematics, decision analysis, web mining, software engineering, computing with words, bioinformatics, neural networks, evolutionary computing, control, neuro-fuzzy and other hybrid systems.

 

Special Sessions:  Proposals for special sessions (1 page) can be submitted to either Program co- Chair at kraghura@in.ibm.com or  nikhil@isical.ac.in. Each special session must have four to six papers.   The deadline for proposals is December 20, 2004. Please Click here for details.

 

Pre-conference Workshop : The conference will be preceded by a one-day workshop on fuzzy logic and a few selected applications. 

 

Best Student Paper Awards : One or two awards will be given to authors of outstanding papers. To qualify for the competition, a student must be the principal author of the paper and the student needs to present the paper. The awardees will be decided based on the manuscript as well as the presentation.
