IEEE CIS Student Travel Grants

The IEEE Computational Intelligence Society Student Travel Grant Program offers a number of limited number of travel grants to assist IEEE Student Members presenting papers at IEEE CIS sponsored conferences.

To receive a grant the recipient must

  1. Be a member of IEEE and the Computational Intelligence Society prior to submitting a travel grant application.

  2. Be the author or co-author of an accepted paper in the conference and actually attend the conference and present the paper.

  3. Must have contributed to at least 50% of the research presented.

  4. Attend the conference to present the paper.

  5. Be a student (or have been at the time of paper submission deadline) and carry at least 50% of a normal full-time academic program as a registered undergraduate or graduate student in a regular course of study.

Note: Only one student author per paper will be awarded a travel grant and a student can receive only one grant per year.

The travel grants electronic form is available on the IEEE CIS website . Please collect all other necessary information and mail it as soon as possible to the address below. Travel grants will only be given according to a merit formula (heavily biased towards the average paper score) to those who send in both the electronic form and the paper documents. For more information, see http://www.ieee-cis.org/edu/travel/ . The deadline is March 22 for receipt of all information -- i.e., the documents must be received by the Educational Committee Chair by that day in order for the applicant to be considered.

The electronic application form is now available: http://ieee-cis.org/edu/travel/apply.php
