Public Affairs Activities

A) An open lecture meeting was organized by the Kolkata Power Engineering Chapter on 19th January 2007 at 12 Noon in the seminar room of Electrical Engineering Department of Jadavpur University as a part of public affairs program of the chapter. In this lecture meeting Dr. Lalit K Goel of Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, spoke on 'Prospects of Post-Graduate and Doctoral Studies in the present context'.

A) A one-Day Workshop on 'Current Trends in Technical Education In India' has been organized by the Kolkata Power Engineering Chapter on 22nd November 2003 in Collaboration with the Humboldt Club Calcutta and Max Mueller Bhavan Kolkata. This workshop was organized as a part of public affairs program of the chapter.

B) An open lecture meeting was organized by the Kolkata Power Engineering Chapter on 26th August 2003 at 4pm in Kolkata as a part of public affairs program of the chapter. In this lecture meeting Mr. Anirban Basu of University of California, Santa Barbara, USA, spoke on 'Career Opportunities for Engineering Students in the Changed Global Scenario'.

 
C) Under the public affairs program of the chapter, an open lecture meeting was organized by the Kolkata Power Engineering Chapter on 23rd September 2003 at 4pm. This lecture meeting was held in Room no. HV-3-1 of High Tension Laboratory of Electrical Engineering Department of Jadavpur University, Kolkata. Mr. P.K.Chattopadhyay of Bharat Bijlee Ltd delivered a talk on 'Communication Skill-A Key to Success in Professional Life' in this program.
