A) A lecture meeting was organized by the Kolkata Power & Energy Chapter jointly with the Electrical Engineering Department of Jadavpur University on 13th January 2009 at 4:30PM in the seminar room of Electrical Engineering Department of Jadavpur University as a part of public affairs program of the chapter. In this lecture meeting Mr. Pradipto Basu of Capgeminy Netherlands spoke on "A bridge between the engineering degree and the exciting world out there". About 100 participants, mostly students, took part in this program.
B) A lecture meeting was organized by the Kolkata Power & Energy Chapter on 18th June 2009 at 4:30PM in the seminar room of the High Tension Laboratory of Electrical Engineering Department of Jadavpur University as a part of public affairs program of the chapter. In this lecture meeting Mr. Ajoy K Das of URS Corporation, USA, spoke on "LEED-Leadership on Energy and Environmental Design". About 25 participants including significant number of students took part in this program.
C) A lecture meeting was organized by the Kolkata Power & Energy Chapter on 2nd September 2009 at 2:00PM in collaboration with the Renewable Energy Club of St. Thomas’ College of Engineering & Technology as a part of public affairs program of the chapter. This lecture meeting was held at the conference room of St. Thomas’ College of Engineering & Technology, Kolkata. Prof. Samiran Choudhuri, former Professor of Electrical Engineering Department of Jadavpur University and former President of The Institution of Engineers (India), spoke on "Energy Planning" in front of more than 60 participants in this program.
D) A half-day program was organized by the Kolkata Power & Energy Chapter on 5th September 2009 in collaboration with the Academy of Technology, Hooghly, as a part of public affairs program of the chapter. This program was held in the College Auditorium of the Academy of Technology, Hooghly. More than 80 participants comprising a large number of students took active part in this program. Two lectures were delivered in this program. The first lecture was titled "Energy Management and Conservation" by Mr. Sankar Mukhopadhyay, Manager (System Control), CESC Ltd. The second lecture was delivered by Prof. Sivaji Chakravorti, Electrical Engineering Department, Jadavpur University, on "Safety Issues in Relation to Electrical Power Installation".

E) A lecture meeting was organized by the Kolkata Power & Energy Chapter on 12th September 2009 at 1:00PM in the seminar room of the High Tension Laboratory of Electrical Engineering Department of Jadavpur University as a part of public affairs program of the chapter. In this lecture meeting Mr. Dipankar Banerjee, CEO, IEE Projects Pvt. Ltd, Kolkata, spoke on "Art of Entrepreneurship". More than 20 participants including significant number of students took part in this program.
F) A lecture meeting was organized by the Kolkata Power & Energy Chapter on 28th October 2009 at 3:30PM in the seminar room of Electrical Engineering Department of Jadavpur University as a part of public affairs program of the chapter. In this lecture meeting Prof. Abhijit Mukherjee, Head of Electrical Engineering Department, Jadavpur University, spoke on "Education as Fun – Turning Useful Knowledge to Contemplative Knowledge". About 75 participants including significant number of students took part in this program.
A) An open lecture meeting was organized by the Kolkata Power Engineering Chapter on 19th January 2007 at 12 Noon in the seminar room of Electrical Engineering Department of Jadavpur University as a part of public affairs program of the chapter. In this lecture meeting Dr. Lalit K Goel of Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, spoke on 'Prospects of Post-Graduate and Doctoral Studies in the present context'.
A) A one-Day Workshop on 'Current Trends in Technical Education In India' has been organized by the Kolkata Power Engineering Chapter on 22nd November 2003 in Collaboration with the Humboldt Club Calcutta and Max Mueller Bhavan Kolkata. This workshop was organized as a part of public affairs program of the chapter.

B) An open lecture meeting was organized by the Kolkata Power Engineering Chapter on 26th August 2003 at 4pm in Kolkata as a part of public affairs program of the chapter. In this lecture meeting Mr. Anirban Basu of University of California, Santa Barbara, USA, spoke on 'Career Opportunities for Engineering Students in the Changed Global Scenario'.
C) Under the public affairs program of the chapter, an open lecture meeting was organized by the Kolkata Power Engineering Chapter on 23rd September 2003 at 4pm. This lecture meeting was held in Room no. HV-3-1 of High Tension Laboratory of Electrical Engineering Department of Jadavpur University, Kolkata. Mr. P.K.Chattopadhyay of Bharat Bijlee Ltd delivered a talk on ' Skill-A Key to Success in Professional Life' in this program.
