The ED&PGC meets once a year during the Power Engineering Society's General Meeting. The meeting is open to all and membership in the Committee is not required for attendance. If you have an interest in the technical aspects of energy development of electric power generation, you are invited to attend and participate in the activities of the IEEE.
A copy of the ED&PGC meeting minutes from the 2004 PES General Power Meeteing can be downloaded here: PDF format
Membership in the Committee, subcommittees, and the work groups it sponsors is based on membership in the IEEE and in particular in the Power Engineering Society. Individuals are expected to participate and contribute to the committee and work groups with their expertise, interest, and willingness to devote time and efforts in its proceedings. There may be instances where non-members attendance is beneficial to certain specific work group activities. For example, expertise outside the normal area of IEEE such as civil or mechanical engineering may be desirable for the work groups' effort.
A list of the general membership of the committee is available here: .DOC format
The ED&PGC has a manual defining its organization and the required procedures for conducting its business. The maual can be found here: PDF format. Additional information about IEEE Standards can be found at the IEEE Standards Association.
