Calling for nominations:
Outstanding Engineer Award 09'
The Outstanding Engineer Award was established in 1994 by the
Power & Energy Society Executive Board to recognize outstanding technical,
professional and society contributions on behalf of the power engineer
profession. This award gives our Chapter the opportunity to recognize the
outstanding contributions of a local IEEE Power & Energy Society member to the
power engineering profession.
You are therefore invited to nominate a fellow Power Engineer (must be a member
of the IEEE Power & Energy Society) for this prestigious award. On the attached
nomination form we have allowed space for you to give details as to the
significant contributions that your nominee has made to the Power Engineering
Chapter and/or the Power Engineering field and/or to the Power & Energy Society
and/or other contributions. Please feel free to expand upon the space provided
if required. The Outstanding Engineer Award Selection Committee can also accept
nominations of an Engineer who has previously been awarded the title of
"Outstanding Engineer" but the award criteria shall then be based on the
nominee's achievements since receiving the previous award.
The recipient of the award will receive a plaque courtesy of the IEEE Power &
Energy Society headquarters in the USA and this will be presented to him/her at
our Annual Dinner, which will be held in Singapore sometime in November/December
2009.
