"Microgrids Workshop"

"SMART
GRIDS 2009")
We are pleased to co-organize a one day workshop on Microgrids on Nov
18th, 2009. The workshop will be offered by Dr André Guimarães
Madureira, Senior Researcher, Institute for Systems and Computer Engineering
of Porto (INESC Porto), Portugal and will cover the following topics:
1. Introduction to Distributed Generation and Microgrids
2. Microgrid Design and Management
3. Operational issues for the Microgrid
4. Energy, Environmental, Economic and Regulatory impacts of Microgrids
The last session in this workshop will be on Microgrid R&D in Singapore
and Future prospects for Microgrids, and will comprise views and case
studies from industry specialists from the EU, USA and Singapore.
The registration fee for IEEE members is S$ 720, while the fee for IEEE
members working in academic institutions is S$ 540. (Please see below for
the registration forms and the brochures)
The event organizer, IBC, has also extended a 20% discount for IEEE
members interested in attending the Smart Grids 2009 conference on Nov 19th
and 20th. Participants from academic institutions enjoy a 40% discount.
