Awards and Community Services
The Power Engineering Chapter regularly contributes to various causes in the
Singapore local community. The following are some of the awards and grants given
out by the chapter.
- Outstanding Engineer Award [more]
- Gold Medals and Book Prizes for top power engineering students in NTU
and NUS [more]
- Awards for top students (Diploma in Electrical Engineering) in SP and NP
[more]
- Conference Support Grants [more]
In addition, the chapter regularly contributes financially to
the IEEE student branches in both NTU and NUS.
- Supported the IEEE NTU students’ branch with an amount of $200 for their
president’s visit to Region 10 Student Congress at University of Hong Kong in
2004.
- Contributed $300 to NTU student branch for organizing the IEEE Island
Wide Online Quiz in March 2006.
