Conference Support Grant                                               
 

Introduction: 
 
IEEE Power & Energy Society Singapore Chapter is committed to supporting PES members to attend local and overseas IEEE conferences to present research papers in the field of Power & Energy. Financial support is provided through the Conference Support Grant Program to enable members to pursue research and learning opportunities on an individual basis. Funding will be awarded on a competitive and case-by-case basis based on the following criteria:

·     The conference must be an IEEE organized/supported conference.

·     This program will provide financial support up to a maximum of S$ 400 per applicant.

·     Financial support is not meant to cover general expenses, but only the registration fees for the Conference.

·     The applicant must be an IEEE PES member.

·     The applicant must not be a recipient of this grant for the past calendar year.

 

Other terms and conditions:

·    Call for applications will be sent by the Chapter Chair every quarter (depending on the availability of funds).

·    Applications should be submitted to IEEE Power & Energy Society Singapore Chapter for processing at least two months before the conference. Softcopy of the completed form should be sent to tantecklee@singnet.com.sg while the signed hardcopy with supporting documents is to be sent to the following address:

·    Applicants will be informed of the Chapter’s decision in a month’s time.

·    The Awards committee, in consultation with the Chapter Chair, will be responsible for reviewing applications and making awards for this program.   Awards committee’s decision is final. No appeals will be entertained.

·    Successful applicants will be asked to provide original registration receipt to the Chapter after the conference. They will be required to give a technical talk to members of IEEE Power & Energy Society Singapore Chapter members within 12 months after the conference.
