NB: The first few Russian entries are included in Edition 1.2 of the Guide.  The Russian activities in basic and applied superconductivity are multiple, multifaceted and on a very advanced level in theory, experiment and applications. 

Unfortunately, thus far we haven’t been able to interest the great majority of Russian colleagues and Instituteions in our projects, such as the Guide and the News Forum.  Some idea on Russian applied work in power applications can be obtained from the Bulletin “Superconductors in Electric Power Industry” http://perst.isssph.kiae.ru/supercond/ published at the Kurchatov’s Institute in Moscov. 

We continue to welcome submission of Russian entries and hope that, in time, the Guide will contain truly representative information on Russian activities.
