Oxford Instruments Announces All-Superconducting 22 T Magnet

September 9, 2008 (HE21).  At ASC 2008, Oxford Instruments announced the first 22 Tesla at 4.2 Kelvin fully superconducting magnet constructed using LTS and HTS materials.  Its bore is 25 mm.  While we normally do not disseminate any industrial publicity in the Forum, this achievement should be known to the superconductivity community.  The Oxford Instruments newsletter announcing and describing the new magnet can be found here.
