The Ultrasonics Symposium returns to Germany, now to Dresden from October 07 - 10, 2012. Conference venue is the International Congress Center Dresden, situated at the margin of the Elbe river and close to the historical center of Dresden. The site provides both a great venue for our conference and unparalleled access to all that Dresden has to offer.

IUS 2012 reached the number of 1187 abstract submissions what is an all-time high in the 50 years history of annual Ultrasonics Symposia. This symposium marks also new records with 1214 attendees and 900 presentations. The latter are related to the traditional fields of this meeting which are: Medical Ultrasonics, Sensors, NDE & Industrial Applications, Physical Acoustics, Microacoustics, and Transducers & Transducer Materials. As usual the conference comprises beside Talks and Poster Sessions also Short Courses, a Student Paper Competition, and Student Travel Support.

29 companies contribute to the Industrial Exhibition, being also an all-time record in the course of Ultrasonics Symposia.
