Region 3 of IEEE is now soliciting nominations for the
Employer Professional Development Award.
The purpose of the award is to recognize organizations in
Region 3 (that employ IEEE members) for outstanding contributions
by the organization to employee continuing education and
professional development as evidenced by their quality,
comprehensiveness, innovation, or impact.

Scope: One award annually
Nomination Package:
"IEEE Region 3 Employer Professional Development Award
Nomination Form," completed by nominator.
Letter of endorsement from an IEEE member employed by the
organization being nominated.
Letter of endorsement from Section Chair in the area in
which the organization is located.
Letter of endorsement from one other individual
(optional).
No more than five pages of additional material supporting
the claims of contributions or achievements.
General: Contributions to
employee continuing education and professional development as
evidenced by their quality, comprehensiveness, innovation, or
impact.
Specific: Specific contributions
to the continuing education or professional development of
engineering employees in Region 3. Contributions to the continuing
education or professional development of other technical or
non-technical employees. Importance of these contributions to the
individual employee.
Selection Committee: IEEE Region
3 Educational Activities Committee (EAC).
Award Instrument: Framed
certificate attesting to the contributions of the
organization.
SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS AND REQUIRED INFORMATION
The following information should be included in the nomination
package: (1) the name of the organization as it should appear on
the award, (2) complete contact information (name, address,
telephone number, fax number and e-mail address, if available) of
the individual within the organization who has present
responsibility for continuing education or professional
development, (3) complete contact information of the nominator and
all endorsers. The nomination package should address the
following: (1) why the organization is worthy of this recognition,
(2) the specific contributions which qualify the organization for
this award, (3) what makes this organization's contribution
outstanding, and (4) any additional details and supporting
documentation Each nomination must include a letter of endorsement
from an IEEE member employed by the organization and from the
Section chair in whose geographic area the organization is located
(include IEEE membership numbers). These letters of endorsement
must be from someone other than the nominator. The nomination
package should include the nominator's suggested citation which
will appear on the award and publicity releases. The Award
Committee reserves the right to edit the citation for conciseness
and clarity. The nominator must sign and date the nomination form
and mail it to the Region 3 Educational Activities Committee
Awards Chair.
