A Note on Video Plug-ins

Several video clips on this page are encoded in the QuickTime format, developed by Apple Computer, which has become a standard, cross-platform multimedia file format. To view the clips, you need to have a QuickTime Plug-In or QuickTime helper application installed on your system. If you don't have it already, you can ownload these applications from the Apple QuickTime site. To install it, all Windows applications should be closed, the file placed in a separate folder. The installation is automatic after double-clicking on the file name.

Compressed (100:1 ratio) clips on this page are encoded in RealVideo format, developed by Progressive Networks. Unlike the QuickTime format, RealVideo is supported on Windows platform only. A RealVideo plugin has to be downloaded in order to view the files. To install it, all Windows applications should be closed, the file placed in a separate folder. The installation is automatic after double-clicking on the file name.
