ICPS LogoThe 2001 IEEE Industrial and Commercial Power Systems (I&CPS) Technical Conference to be held May 13-17 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The Industrial and Commercial Power Systems (I&CPS) Department of the IEEE Industry Applications Society, in conjunction with the New Orleans Section and Local Conference Committee, invites you to attend the 2001 I&CPS Technical conference in New Orleans from May 13-17 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.

The annual conference includes I&CPS Department Committee and Working Group meetings Sunday and Monday, as well as the presentation of 24 technical papers in two separate Technical Sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday. This year's program will also include an NEC Panel Session on Wednesday morning.

Our social program begins Monday evening with a Welcome Reception at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. On Tuesday night you can join us for a "Cajun Party" in downtown New Orleans where we will dance to the music of a Cajun band and sample typical Louisiana seafood. And, the Hyatt will be the venue for the Wednesday Awards Luncheon. Three Companion Tours as well as a Technical tour of a downtown Thermal Energy Plant have also been planned for the guests and attendees.

Also, while in New Orleans, be sure to take time to visit our nearby historical sites, world class restaurants, and antique shops in the historic French Quarter. You will also find a superb aquarium and shops in the Riverwalk, a riverfront development along the Mississippi River.

Y'all come! And, "LAISSEZ LES BON TEMPS ROULLER!" LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL!

Richard W. Miller
Chair - 2001 I&CPS Technical Conference
